The Pattaya International Fireworks Festival returns to Pattaya Beach in Chon Buri on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 November 2026, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the government's Public Relations Department. Two nights of international pyrotechnic displays over the bay make it one of the busiest weekends of the year on the Eastern Seaboard.
So should you make the trip, and if you do, where should you stand and where should you sleep? Here is what is confirmed so far, what is still to be announced, and how to plan the night without spending it in traffic.

Where to watch
Pattaya Beach itself is the main viewing area, and the displays are fired over the water so the whole curve of the bay gets a view. The busiest stretch is usually the central beachfront, so arriving well before the first display matters more than the exact spot you choose.
- Central Pattaya Beach: the closest view and the festival atmosphere, with stalls and stages along the front, but also the thickest crowds.
- The quieter ends of the bay: further north towards Naklua, or south towards Bali Hai pier, you trade a little proximity for space to sit down.
- Higher ground and sea-view rooms: Pratumnak Hill at the southern end of the bay, and hotel rooms or rooftop bars facing the beach, give an elevated view away from the crush. Rooftop and restaurant packages are sold by individual venues, so check what is included before you pay.
Getting there and getting home
- Driving: with Beach Road reported closed from 15:00, plan to park away from the beachfront and walk in. TrueID Travel lists festival parking at Terminal 21 Pattaya, Central Marina, Central Pattaya, Harbor Pattaya, Mike Shopping Mall, Big C Extra Central Pattaya and the Bali Hai pier car park building, among others; fees depend on the site.
- From Bangkok: Pattaya is an easy road trip from the capital, so many residents come for one night only. If you drive back the same evening, expect slow traffic out of central Pattaya after the final display.
- Staying over: Pattaya Mail advises booking early, especially for sea-view rooms near the beach, so book soon if you want to watch from a balcony.
Is it worth staying the night?
If you live in Bangkok or along the Eastern Seaboard, one night is enough to see a full evening of displays; the Friday lets you drive home on a weekend morning rather than a Sunday. For families, an elevated or hotel view avoids the late-night crowds on the sand. For visitors from Phuket, note that the Naiyang Beach Music Festival runs from 27 to 29 November on the island, according to the PRD listing, so the same weekend offers a home-grown alternative.
Checklist before you go
- Confirm the first display time and the running order on Pattaya City's announcements in the week of the festival.
- Book any sea-view room or rooftop package early and check the cancellation terms.
- Plan a parking spot away from Beach Road and a walking route back.
- Bring water and agree a meeting point with your group before the crowds build.
