If you are planning a trip to the Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026, you can now take the train almost to the gate. The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has opened a temporary stop called the Udon Thani Horticultural Expo Halt next to the expo grounds at the Nong Dae wetland in Kut Sa subdistrict, Mueang Udon Thani. The government's deputy spokesperson, Ploythale Lakmeesaengchan, set out the arrangements on 2 November 2026, and services run from 1 November 2026 to 14 March 2027, the same dates as the expo.

What the new halt offers

SRT governor Anan Phonimdaeng told The Nation that the halt has a platform more than 100 metres long, so visitors can reach the site without travelling through the city centre. Two level crossings have been prepared to link the expo areas on either side of the railway line, and SRT says it has added signs and staff at the entry and exit points to help passengers.

The four trains that stop at the expo

Express 75 from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal in Bangkok to Nong Khai leaves Bangkok at 08:45, reaches the expo halt at 17:04 and leaves again at 17:05.

Local train 415 from Nakhon Ratchasima to Nong Khai leaves Nakhon Ratchasima at 06:25, reaches the expo halt at 11:28 and leaves at 11:29.

Express 76 from Nong Khai to Krung Thep Aphiwat leaves Nong Khai at 06:30, reaches the expo halt at 06:59 and leaves at 07:00.

Local train 418 from Nong Khai to Nakhon Ratchasima leaves Nong Khai at 12:55, reaches the expo halt at 13:31 and leaves at 13:32.

Local trains 415 and 418 will each carry one extra air-conditioned carriage for the whole expo period.

Coming overnight from Bangkok

The overnight trains do not stop at the expo halt, but they do stop at Udon Thani station, where you can continue by local public transport. Special Express 25 leaves Krung Thep Aphiwat at 20:25 and reaches Udon Thani at 05:39. Rapid 133, which runs from Krung Thep Aphiwat towards Vientiane, leaves at 21:25 and reaches Udon Thani at 07:02.
