Phuket has thousands of massage shops, from beach mats to hotel spas, and most of them advertise a perfect score somewhere. So we asked a simple question: which places sit at the very top of Google Maps once you remove the small, easily inflated listings? On the morning of 28 October 2026, Bangkok time, we searched six areas of the island and kept only venues with at least 200 reviews. Five came out with a 5.0 rating.
At a glance
| Rank | Venue | Area (listed address) | Google rating | Reviews |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | The Baray Spa | Kata, Kade Kwan Road | 5.0 | 968 |
| 2 | Luna Soul Spa | Phuket Town, Mae Luan Road | 5.0 | 520 |
| 3 | Pure Serenity Luxury Spa, Phuket Town | Wirat Hong Yok Road | 5.0 | 407 |
| 4 | Serenity Spa at La Green Hotel and Residence | Cherng Talay | 5.0 | 381 |
| 5 | Aura Thai Massage Naka | Wirat Hong Yok Road, near Naka | 5.0 | 370 |
Just missing out: Sweet Lemongrass Massage 6 (5.0, 363 reviews), LANN Spa and Massage (5.0, 332) and SAii Spa at SAii Laguna Phuket (5.0, 200).
1. The Baray Spa, Kata
The clear leader on volume among the perfect scores. With close to 1,000 reviews, The Baray Spa on Kade Kwan Road has more than twice the review count of most venues on this list, which makes its 5.0 average harder to dismiss as luck. It is a convenient option if you are staying around Kata or Karon.
2. Luna Soul Spa, Phuket Town
On Mae Luan Road in Phuket Town, Luna Soul Spa holds a 5.0 rating from just over 500 reviews. It is the top-rated pick for anyone based in town rather than on the west coast beaches.
3. Pure Serenity Luxury Spa, Phuket Town
The Phuket Town branch of Pure Serenity is listed as a Thai massage therapist on Wirat Hong Yok Road, with 407 reviews. The brand's Patong branch also ranks well, at 4.9 from more than 3,200 reviews, so this is a name that appears to hold up across locations.
4. Serenity Spa at La Green Hotel and Residence, Cherng Talay
The only hotel spa in our top five. It sits inside La Green Hotel and Residence in Cherng Talay, near the Bang Tao and Laguna area, and holds a 5.0 from 381 reviews.
5. Aura Thai Massage Naka
A short distance from the Naka weekend market area, Aura Thai Massage Naka has a 5.0 rating from 370 reviews. It opened later than most of the others on this list, at midday, on the day we checked.
What about the most-reviewed places?
A perfect score from a few hundred people is one thing. Keeping a 4.9 across thousands of reviews is another. If volume matters more to you than a perfect average, these were the most-reviewed venues at 4.9 in our searches:
| Venue | Area | Rating | Reviews |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sansabai Massage 2 | Phuket Old Town, Thalang Road | 4.9 | 9,351 |
| Deep Relax Spa 1 Laguna | Cherng Talay | 4.9 | 3,325 |
| Pure Serenity Luxury Spa, Patong | Patong | 4.9 | 3,255 |
| SAMA Onsen and Massage | Saphan Hin | 4.9 | 3,011 |
| Sea Massage and Head Spa Phuket | Phuket Town, Dibuk Road | 4.9 | 2,440 |
Does a 5.0 really mean anything?
Not on its own. Google shows ratings to one decimal place, so a 5.0 can mean an average anywhere from 4.95 upwards. Review counts also change daily, and some businesses ask every customer for a review at the till. Treat this list as a starting point, read the most recent reviews, and check prices and therapist availability directly before you book.
How we did it
- We ran six Google Maps searches on the morning of 28 October 2026, Bangkok time: "massage spa Phuket", "massage Patong", "spa Kata Karon Phuket", "thai massage Phuket Town", "massage Rawai Chalong", "spa Bang Tao Cherng Talay".
- We kept only places with at least 200 reviews, opening hours listed and no permanently closed or temporarily closed label.
- We ranked by Google rating, then by number of reviews.
- We ignored sponsored listings and non-massage businesses that appeared in the results.
- No venue paid to appear, and we have not visited every venue on this list.
FAQ
Are these the best massage places in Phuket?
They are the highest-rated on Google Maps under the rules above on 28 October 2026. That is a measure of reviewer satisfaction, not a professional inspection.
Why is my favourite spa missing?
It may have fewer than 200 reviews, a rating below 5.0, or it may not have appeared in our six searches. Tell us and we will look at it for the next update.
Did any of these businesses pay to be included?
No. MEM has no commercial relationship with any venue on this list.
Will the ranking change?
Almost certainly. Ratings and review counts move every day, which is why we state the date we checked.
